Jerry Curran, Editor-in-Chief
My name is Jerry Curran, and I am a junior at Sturgis East. I enjoy writing sports, current events and opinion articles for the Sturgis StormWatch. I am also a member of the Sturgis ROVers club, which is a group that studies marine biology and deploys deep sea robots to examine the ocean. In my free time, I play baseball as well as basketball. I have been studying Spanish for five years and I absolutely love it. Moreover, I am the Teen Director of ProjectNextGeneration.org, an international not-for-profit organization, where I mentor youth and do speaking engagements. I am so excited to be a part of the Sturgis StormWatch!

I’ve been writing and creating for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to be writing for StormWatch this year!

I joined the StormWatch last year and loved the club’s atmosphere and my peers so much that I wanted to continue my journey. I also play field hockey and tennis. I found my passion for playing sports through my love of running and competing. I have made such great friends through participating in sports and other extracurricular activities. I am also a member of Spanish Club, where a group of students discuss hispanic language and culture, and I’ve been a girl scout for ten years.
