My name is Caroline Curran, and I am a senior at Sturgis East. I absolutely love writing and producing videos for the StormWatch and have been a member since my freshman year. I have had articles published in both local and national publications, including People Magazine. I am the co-founder and president of the Spanish Club, in which we often hold fundraisers for humanitarian causes in Spanish-speaking countries. I enjoy keeping up with current events and politics. In my spare time, I like to play the piano and volunteer. I am thrilled to take on the role of Editor-in-Chief this year and be a part of the StormWatch team. Hi everyone! My name is Rowan Wood, and I am so happy to be a part of the StormWatch staff! I am an avid writer of articles, prose and screenplays. In my spare time, I write, produce and direct short films, ride my bike around Cape Cod and hang out with my wonderful friends! I’ve been writing and creating for as long as I can remember, and I’m thrilled to be writing for StormWatch this year! Hi! My name is Caitlin Nitschke and I am a senior at Sturgis East. I am involved in many clubs at school, such as being the co-editor of the yearbook and a member of the Spanish club. I joined the StormWatch because I appreciate the fun and educational atmosphere that it gives me to pursue journalistic writing. I love digital art, painting, boating, and reading. I enjoy learning different mediums of art and graphic design. One of my favorite things is traveling, especially going on sailing trips with my family. I am excited to be writing for the Sturgis StormWatch again this year! My name is Grace Rizzuto, and I am a senior. I love to read, write and sketch in my free time. I have been on the StormWatch for four years. I joined as part of my resolution to try new things when starting at Sturgis along with field hockey, and I have stuck with both since. I enjoy the freedom and creativity that comes with writing for the Stormwatch and love our lunch time meetings where we bounce article ideas off each other. I play field hockey and tennis. I have been a member of the Spanish Club, ROVers, as well as Certamen (Latin trivia), and I co-run the Girls Inspired club. Being a reporter for the StormWatch has enabled me to get more involved in my school community and form bonds that I otherwise wouldn’t have. My name is Ellen Murray, and I am a junior at Sturgis East. Along with being a member of StormWatch, I’m the president and founder of the Sturgis Art Club and a member of the Yearbook Club. I also act and do technical work with the Sturgis Theatre Arts Guild of Entertainers (STAGE). I love learning and studying biology, chemistry, and literature. Outside of school, I am a classical ballet student, participating in our annual Nutcracker performances. I also volunteer in the Dance Heroes program at the Riverview School in East Sandwich. Joining the StormWatch team gives me a great opportunity to learn more about our school and community. |
